Our Alain Boullard Music School has always wanted music to delight people’s hearts and bring happiness to the lives of young and old alike. This is why we are extremely pleased to offer you a group course dedicated to seniors now: Musical workshop for seniors with the principles of the Willems method.

This course is orchestrated by our teacher Olga Giner, a graduate in music education Willems with years of experience in music education and who already provides with enormous success the musical initiation courses for small children from 2 to 7 years old in our music school.

She uses the principles of the Willems method in this course which is dedicated to seniors.

It is a moment of weekly meeting where pleasure is in the spotlight and the benefits are quickly visible in everyday life.

During this course, students will:

• Learn to sing in a group and listen to yourself
• Stimulate rhythmic and melodic memory, coordination of movements on the piano or by listening to recorded songs
• Practice different body movements, hit the rhythm, feel the stature of a musical sequence, work on balance and flexibility.
• Perform hearing games, with a variety of musical equipment, which will make you aware of the different timbres and their qualities (sound, pitch, duration and intensity).

The music room is fully equipped with a piano, xylophones and a large number of small rhythmic and melodic instruments.

Duration, prices and registrations

Course duration: 45 minutes

You can choose between the following 2 formulas:

• Fixed course, 17 courses per semester (course every week except during school holidays) at the price 420 CHF (price for external pupils) / 340 CHF (price for school pupils) per semester of 17 lessons.
• Flexible formula, 12 lessons per semester to be planned according to your preference on the semester’s course calendar at the price of 340 CHF (price for external students) / 280 CHF (price for school students). This gives you more flexibility and allows you to choose to come the weeks you want and not necessarily every week.
