The Spector basses, named after their founder Stuart Spector, were born in 1976 in New York, in a particular context since the electric bass began to initiate a wide shift towards models with active electronics (Alembic, Music Man…).
Today, with more than forty years of experience, the Spector brand offers modern and versatile basses, with a perfect finish and offering precise, dynamic and punchy tones. All of this combined with excellent ergonomics.
They are designed for the bassist who favors a modern, powerful and precise sound (often managed by an active preamp) as well as an ergonomics based on comfort and which contrasts singularly with the traditional models of the big brands like Fender or Music Man.
The Spector basses have been the choice of legendary bassists, including Sting, Gene Simmons, Doug Wimbish, Nikki Sixx, Rudy Sarzo or even more recently Alex Webster, Mono Neon, Nicki Tedesco as well as a large number of studio musicians from fame.
There are several ranges, manufactured on different continents. Among our catalog, you will find the Euro series , carefully designed by hand in the Czech Republic, the Legend and Performer series , made in Asia for a more attractive price without sacrificing quality as well as the Timbre electro-acoustic bass series.
