Chopin revolutionized the study - he ennobled the waltz.

Throughout his life, he approached this genre again and again and created a wide range of forms, ranging from virtuoso performance pieces - the Grandes Valses Brilliantes - to deeply melancholy moods.

One thing is common to all the works: you cannot and must not dance these waltzes! Our volume contains all of Chopin's waltzes that appeared during his lifetime or posthumously, including popular bursts of genius such as the so-called '' Minute Waltz '' (op. 64, n ° 1). Of course, when two authentic versions of the same waltz are transmitted, we bring the original text of both versions.
