The Builder's Edition 652ce is the first 12-string of the Taylor "Directors Cut" family that offers the player the ultimate in aesthetics, playing comfort and sound enhancing details.

The solid maple back and sides give the musician supreme articulation and detail, while the solid V-braced sitka spruce top projects into the room with a confident and proud voice.

A silent satin finish reduces incident noise from body contact, making it an excellent studio instrument. Traditionally, 12-string guitars are guitarists' pet peeve, with a swampy tone, chunky necks that are difficult to tune, and, once you get there, they don't stay that way for long. The Builder's edition 652ce changes that. The 12-fret neck and slightly shorter 24 ⅞ inch scale make the guitar more fluid, the V-bracing encourages sound waves to flourish and unfold more naturally, and the string anchor system Dual-mount reduces conflict between string pairs, the overall result being excellent note separation, tuning and intonation throughout the thin and low neck. Reverse strung to deliver a fuller tone with more warmth in the bass, you don't need shovels for hands to put the Builder's Edition 652ce into action.
