The Mood Pan was created for wellness-minded designers and musicians looking for a versatile, expressive new instrument. It combines the spiritual resonances of acoustic handpans with multiple tonal variations and versatile functions, made possible by Roland's advanced Percussion technology. While most musical instruments require learning a particular technique, the Mood Pan can be played by anyone, including those with no prior musical experience or technique.

Modern versatility
The electronic nature of the Mood Pan provides many advantages over an acoustic handpan to enable you to create, play and practice without limits. You can play a variety of instruments with different tunings, add unique effects to these sounds, and mute the built-in speaker to play silently by plugging in headphones.

Tap and connect
The Mood Pan is played with the fingers, connecting you directly to the sounds in the process. The nine pads can reproduce different scales, making it impossible to produce false notes. It's also possible to play with the sides of your palms to create additional percussive sounds and resonances. Ride waves of expressive tones by spontaneously inventing melodies, muting sounds with a single press and using the special control pad to add expressive colors to certain sounds.

Soothing sounds
On a Mood Pan, you can change sounds at any time. Start on a traditional handpan, then switch to a Tongue Drum, gamelan, crystal bowl or Singing bowl. You can also explore Indian textures on a sitar, play classical with Orchestra strings, electro with synth layers. Four user memory slots are also available, with a choice of variations.

Serene music
The Mood Pan offers background music and nature sounds to play over, as well as four modes suited to different circumstances: matinee, evening, relaxation and yoga. It can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music from your mobile device.

Mood Pan Plus
The Mood Pan Plus app is the ideal way to enhance the Mood Pan experience. Here you can modify the built-in sounds, choose various environment sounds and effects, and fine-tune the feel of the pads to suit your style. The app also incorporates additional sounds that can be loaded into the Mood Pan's user memory slots.
