The classic Indian rosewood / Sitka spruce Duet offers an extended, sophisticated sound response. The highs are brilliant and sparkling, the lows deep and warm, while the natural harmonics provide all the richness characteristic of a 12-string.
The V-Class bracing optimizes volume, sustain and harmonic coherence along the entire length of the neck, guaranteeing excellent trueness and clear octave definition. The slim, comfortable neck makes it easy to grip, even on a 12-string configuration.
Taylor Claria electronics provide precise, adaptable amplification, with controls built into the rosette and a Mid-Contour setting for easy midrange adjustment to suit the playing context.
In terms of comfort and aesthetics, the 854ce incorporates a rosewood armrest with rounded profile, a maple binding with decorative purfling, an abalone rosette and Element mother-of-pearl inlays. Smoked nickel-finish tuners and gloss varnish complete a premium package.
