To celebrate the anniversary of John's exceptional signature model, the Martin OM-28JM, you can discover two new special models.
First, the OMJM-John Mayer 20th Anniversary, which is closer to the first version, as well as a flagship model, the OM-45 John Mayer Anniversary.
The OM-45s feature excellent construction, top-quality wood and abalone purfling along the top, back and sides.
But this is no ordinary OM-45. For a start, the choice of wood differs: like the OM-28JM, this Guitar features an Engelmann spruce top for a rich sound. The back and sides are made of Guatemalan rosewood, which is used today to replace the mythical Rio rosewood.
John's first signature model at Martin featured a thin aluminum border around the headstock and bridge. For this anniversary version, they've gone even further. First of all, silver has replaced aluminum. What's more, the border is also present on the Fingerboard and pickguard. These silver embellishments perfectly match the guitar's (all too) rare Grey Sunburst finish, making this instrument, strictly limited to the year 2023, even more exceptional. The label features John Mayer's signature.
