Nicknamed the "Workhorse", the J-45 is the most iconic and best-selling acoustic guitar in Gibson history.
Since 1942, it has set the standard for the round-shouldered dreadnought format.
Its construction combines a solid Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides, delivering a balanced, warm and powerful sound. Bass is deep without excess, mids rich and present, and highs perfectly defined, with excellent projection.
The mahogany neck with SlimTaper profile ensures a quick, comfortable grip, while the dovetail body/sleeve junction optimizes vibration transfer for natural sustain and beautiful Resonance.
The rosewood fingerboard, Grover Rotomatic Tuners and TUSQ nut guarantee stability, precision and reliability. L.R. Baggs VTC electronics faithfully reproduce the acoustic character of the instrument on stage and in the studio.
