The Friedman IR-D dual-channel tube preamp is a complete, compact Friedman system ideal for pedalboards.
The IR-D features two identical, fully independent, footswitchable channels based on the legendary Friedman system.This Dave-modified JTM45 circuit delivers the distinctive British sound for which Friedman is renowned.
Powered by two high-voltage 12AX7 preamplifier tubes, each channel delivers the harmonic depth and tactile sensitivity of Dave Friedman's finest designs. Dynamic infrared (IR) power amp/speaker cabinet simulation sends studio-quality, pickup-captured sound to your sequencer or front-of-house console.
The IR-D offers exceptional tonal control, but its included Friedman 4.0 Editor software takes it to the next level. With it, you can adjust each channel's power amp simulation via Thump and Presence controls, load your favorite impulse responses, activate the Boost Lock function, select Loop on/off and save everything in 128 MIDI presets.
