The S2 series began in 2013 to provide players with the fit, feel, and attention to detail of PRS craftsmanship in a streamlined design.

Since its launch, the series has grown from three original models, including the S2 Custom 24 to more than a dozen!

Paul Reed Smith is celebrating 10 years of this success with a limited series of the Custom 24 S2, It features the basic features of the original model but with the special addition of a Cuban mahogany neck, mother-of-pearl bird inlays and, in particular, PRS 85/15 pickups made in the USA. They are perfect for modern pedalboard players and have enough character for direct use in an amp. The pickups were also paired with a 5-way switch for the first time in the S2 series (the basic option is a 3-way switch with push / pull tone control). Only 1000 S2 Custom 24 Limited Edition 10th Anniversary instruments will be manufactured.
