At the heart of the instrument, Reflectone pickups developed in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs form the core element of its sonic identity. The S-H configuration allows natural navigation between clear, defined registers, vintage single-coil tones and denser, more modern textures. The Focus Switch acts as a character expander, offering a fuller, more focused response akin to oversized coil pickups, while retaining articulation and legibility.

The body design is based on Yamaha's Acoustic Design technology. Using 3D modeling, the internal structure and contours are optimized to improve vibration flow between body and neck. The result is increased sustain, better natural resonance and a sensation of immediate response under the fingers, perceptible in both clean and saturated playing.

Playing comfort was clearly a priority. The ergonomic chambered body, combined with a sculpted neck heel, facilitates access to the high registers and reduces fatigue during long sessions. The rounded C-profile neck, with its satin finish, offers a quick, natural grip. The Fingerboard's 12" radius and medium jumbo stainless steel frets ensure an effective balance between precision, speed and durability, even under heavy playing conditions.

The equipment is entrusted to Gotoh, with locking Tuners guaranteeing tuning stability and precision, as well as brass In-Tune bridges that enhance clarity and harmonic depth. The whole package contributes to the feeling of a reliable instrument, designed for stage and studio alike.
