The specialist's opinion

The Music Nomad MN300 The Humitar is a humidifier specially designed to maintain optimum humidity levels in Acoustic guitars.

The wood of an instrument is sensitive to climatic variations: too dry an environment can cause wood shrinkage, cracks or protruding fret ends.

Humitar offers a simple, effective solution to protect your instrument against these problems.

This system is inserted directly between the strings in the guitar's rosette, allowing humidity to be gradually diffused inside the body. Its reusable Humid-i-Bar sponge can absorb up to 10 times its weight in water, guaranteeing long-lasting, low-maintenance humidification.

Designed with drip- and leak-proof materials, it releases moisture evenly without risk to the instrument, even when the guitar is stored in its case or transported. Use is very simple: simply dampen the sponge with distilled water, insert it into the holder and replace it in the rosette.

Compact, reliable and economical, the Humitar is an essential accessory for preserving Acoustic guitars, particularly in dry environments or during winter periods when humidity drops sharply.

Specification

An acoustic guitar needs humidity to be stable and sound at its best. A guitar that is too dry can crack or warp.
For this reason, Music Nomad designed the Humitar. Very easy to install in the rosette, the Humitar maintains an ideal humidity level thanks to a sponge that retains more than 10 times its weight in water. Thus, it releases its water for longer than any other guitar humidifier. To know if you need to rewet the sponge, just open the hatch and squeeze the sponge with your finger. If it is dry, it should be rehydrated with deionized water if you have the possibility.
