It uses an Alnico V magnet, giving it a balanced dynamic response, with beautiful articulation in playing, even under moderate gain. Its output level is moderate (around 7.5 kΩ), making it a good match for a more powerful bridge pickup, such as the Seymour Duncan JB (SH-4), very often used as a complement.
