The Skull Strings 1062 - 7 strings Line Stainless Steel are wound on a hexagonal core of a stainless steel and composed of 17% chromium.
Chromium reacts with oxygen in the air and humidity to form a protective layer - known as the passive layer - of chromium oxide, isolating the string from the surrounding environment and protecting it from alterations.
Simply remove this transparent layer with a dry cloth before playing to find the sound of your new strings for longer. Here in 010/062.
