The Thomastik Jazz BeBop BB112 Light strings have a similarity to the Jazz Swing in terms of material and string architecture, but with a small gauge round nickel winding that produces a rich, fundamental, jazzy tone that is somewhat larger than a flat winding.
This string is a great alternative choice for the player who wants a real jazz sound, but with a bit more "edge".
