A fairly developed concert piece, in a tripartite form, this Elegie brings together the flute and the organ admirably in a predominantly chromatic language, but which does not neglect the use of modes.
Beautiful and noble themes give this work a seriousness and a notable dramatic power.
Note that the organ is treated on an equal footing with the flute, not just as a simple accompanist. Edition produced under the direction of Yannik Merlin
