The AT-VMN95E features a bonded 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical diamond tip mounted on a lightweight aluminum cantilever. This elliptical geometry makes more precise contact with the grooves of the vinyl than a conventional conical tip, offering better reproduction of detail, sharper channel separation and faithful reproduction across the entire frequency range from 20 to 22,000 Hz. Output level is around 4.0 mV at 1 kHz, making it perfectly compatible with the vast majority of phono preamplifiers on the market.

Interchangeable with the entire VM95 Series

One of the major assets of Audio-Technica's VM95 Series is the modularity of its system. All the cells in the range share the same electromagnetic body, which means that the six styli in the Series are fully interchangeable. The AT-VMN95E can be fitted to any VM95 cell in a matter of seconds by simply snapping it on, without tools. This compatibility also allows users wishing to upgrade their system to a higher level, such as the Microlinear or Shibata version, without changing cells.

Extended compatibility

The AT-VMN95E is compatible with many Audio-Technica turntables equipped with half-inch mounting, including models AT-LP120X, AT-LP3XBT, AT-LPW40, AT-LPW50, AT-LP5X and AT-LP8X. The recommended contact force is 2.0 g (range: 1.8 to 2.3 g) for optimum groove tracking and vinyl preservation.
