THE REFERENCE ONE EXPERIENCE The Reference One shell and hardware recipe elevates the professional drumming experience with shells tuned to get the best tones from each drum. The 8- and 10-inch shells are EvenPly-Six (5.4mm) maple / birch for more attack and a sharper tone. The 12 inch tom (the '' Middle-C '' in the reference tome spectrum) is made entirely of maple for a center tone. The 13-inch and larger toms feature mahogany inner plies to lower the pitch and add sonic depth. The Bass Toms and Drum Drums are made from 8 ply mahogany and maple to maximize the bass frequencies.
