Here we find a trio of high output Texas Custom Shop Hand-Wound pickups for a fiery and authentically Fender tone. As a tribute to his personal hero, Jimi Hendrix, SRV used a vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge for left-handedness on his guitar, which allowed him to operate the tremolo arm with his elbow, a modification that is also found on this model . The two-piece body is crafted from alder selected for its weight and grain, and its NOS lacquer finish will age and wear in a very personal way, just like the original. The tinted maple neck has a slightly thinner "Oval C" profile on the treble side, making it easier to stretch the strings towards the stratosphere, a precise recreation of the neck profile of your favorite guitar.
