Our Alain Boullard School of Music has always wanted music to delight people’s hearts and bring happiness to the lives of both adults and children. This is why we offer individualized and personalized lessons without exams, lessons for the pleasure of learning to play an instrument.

We encourage the fact that music is part of life from an early age, which is why we also offer introductory music lessons in small groups for small children .

For musical initiation, you can register your children for the following courses:

Musical awakening workshop (1 to 3 years)

We offer a musical awakening course for children from 1 to 3 years old.

Children are accompanied by a parent or grandparent.

Course content:

• Nursery rhymes, rhythm games to move
• A variety of equipment to discover and produce sounds
• A moment of sharing to rub, shake, strike, blow, pinch … live the music in a sensory way!

Music brings joy and promotes human development.

Nursery Rhymes in Motion (3 to 4 years)

This course is intended for children from 3 to 4 years old because it is by associating nursery rhymes and body movements that children create a special link with music.

Rhythm, tempo, melodic movements, cadence and many other notions are part of musical learning.

In a warm, caring and fun context, each child finds his place in the group.
This course is a preparation for the Willems pedagogy. The Willems pedagogy is a musical education for children from 4 to 7 years old.

Musical education Willems (4 to 7 years)

Musical education develops rhythmic and melodic sense, motor skills, memory, concentration, listening to others, individual participation and creativity.
This allows your child to take music lessons every week and it makes him want to come to the next class for other discoveries.

Your child refines his musicality and his sense of rhythm. Musical activities are offered taking into account their possibilities and integrating new musical experiences in groups that allow them to progress.

In 1st and 2nd year (degree I and II)

The Willems method develops the musicality of the child by making him experience the elements of music through listening games, rhythms, songs and body movements, using a varied sound material.

In 3rd year (degree III)

The method makes the child aware of the musical elements experienced and prepares him for music theory by providing him with notions of musical reading and writing.

In 4th year (degree IV)

Following the three years of Willems Music Education, we are offering a 4th year for children aged 7 to 8 who do not yet wish to start learning an instrument in individual lessons.

A workshop that will allow students to acquire increasingly sophisticated notions of music theory, while keeping a playful spirit.
It will be a question of combining the voice with the steps in the measures at 4 beats, 2 beats etc. One of the strengths of the course will be to connect the body to rhythm and sound.
Learning the diatonic xylophone, but also chromatic, will be central to practicing the different codes of music.

The course structure:

• Associate rhythm with body movement
• Learn songs in which the codes of the score will be explained
• Improvise a melody on a cadence
• A small polyrhythmic orchestra with percussions and
• Xylophones to develop collective play with repetition and rhythmic / melodic improvisation etc …

Music theory is Music and music theory amuses me !!

The musical initiation room is fully equipped with a piano, xylophones and a large number of small rhythmic and melodic instruments.
