From the start, Carl Bechstein was called upon by the greatest of his time to make pianos: kings, emperors and queens such as Queen Victoria in the United Kingdom or the greatest music conservatories of the time in Leningrad and Moscow. All of them make their pianos their ideal. Even great composers and musicians will be captivated by the sound of his pianos. Among its big names we find: Franz Liszt, Richard Wagner, Claude Debussy and many others. The brand's notoriety was so dazzling that Carl Bechstein opened between 1880 and 1887 three piano manufacturing factories in Berlin as well as stores exhibiting his finest products in Berlin, London, Paris and Saint Petersburg. At the same time, Carl Beschtein undertook the construction of Bechstein Hall today called Wigmore Hall and used as a concert hall suitable for chamber music performances. For about ten years the brand has been forming a group of piano manufacturers with the Zimmermann & W. Hoffmann brands.
