Superstar were the world's first drums to use an all-birch shell, producing the perfect sound for the emerging genres of the era - a sound that captivated the world's best drummers. The revolutionary 6-ply / 9mm shell design played a crucial role in the Superstar's monumental success. Thicker than modern drums, these drums provided a powerful attack and deep bass. In honor of TAMA's 50th anniversary, the original drums, vintage hardware and matching interior finish offer a faithful reproduction of the original Superstar. Available in 4 popular original colors: Aqua Marine, Cherry Wine, Super Mahogany and Super Maple. After 50 years, let's celebrate the origin of the TAMA sound with the reissue of the Superstar.
