Description
Each drummer is different and has their own style. For this reason, it is essential to find the sound suited to your own preferences that will fully satisfy you both live and in the studio. Unfortunately, finding this sound is usually extremely expensive and time consuming. Introducing the TM-1 - a unique trigger module that allows you to quickly and easily add new sounds to your acoustic drums. From the TM-1's built-in kick drum, snare, tom, cymbal and percussion sounds to your own samples and loops, with the trigger module, there are no longer any limits to your drum sound . Connect the TM-1 to any compatible Roland trigger pad to easily play the sounds of the TM-1.

With the free editor for Mac / Windows and iOS / Android *, you can quickly and easily transfer your custom sounds to the TM-1. Simply connect the TM-1 to your device, open the app, import the desired samples from your library and adjust the settings as needed. On stage, you can also control the TM-1, which is powered either by batteries or a power cable, using the two pedals. This way, you can even mute the hybrid sound and continue playing purely acoustically, only to come back with all the hybrid power during the chorus. Today, every drummer can benefit from the benefits of a hybrid setup. The TM-1 is the fastest and most cost effective entry into the hybrid battery world.

* Android application available from March 2019.

Expand your acoustic drums with hybrid sound diversity

Hybrid drum setups can be found everywhere today - in small bars and clubs as well as in larger stadiums. Busy drummers especially appreciate the ability to expand their basic acoustic sound with studio-quality sounds. In this way, modern styles of music with electronic percussion parts can also be played easily live. Building an acoustic-electronic hybrid setup can seem daunting at first. However, with the TM-1, your journey into the hybrid battery world is easier than ever. Mount one or more triggers on your drums, connect them to the TM-1 and you'll have access to all the sounds you need. Thanks to dedicated controls for sensitivity,

15 ready-to-play kits for your concerts

In live, it is almost impossible to fundamentally change the sound of your acoustic drums. With a hybrid setup, you can change your sounds to your liking. Play a very specific kit that you couldn't bring to the gig or develop your basic sound with individual samples and loops. The TM-1 comes with 15 ready-to-play kits, each with two selectable instruments. The free editing app gives you access to over 150 additional sounds - from kick drums, snares, and other drum instruments to synth loops. By adding your own sounds, there is almost no limit to the sonic possibilities. Whatever your goal, with the TM-1 it has never been easier to change the sound of your kit during a live.

Editing application for importing samples and quickly customizing sounds.

With a hybrid setup, you can individually select and customize the sounds. This way every song on your setlist has the perfect sound. The TM-1 Editor allows you to access the internal sounds of the TM-1 module, import your own samples, assign sounds to individual trigger pads, and quickly customize each sound to your individual preferences. Import samples up to six seconds long from a computer, tablet, smartphone or directly from the cloud. This way you can leave your laptop at home and adjust or swap the sounds using your smartphone, even right before the gig.

Develop your acoustic tones with Roland RT Series Drum Triggers

The sound of your acoustic drums is unique, but can usually still be optimized for live use. The bass and snare are the backbone of your band's sound, but they don't always manage to assert themselves against the wall of guitars, basses, and keyboards. Combined with the RT series triggers, you can layer samples from the TM-1 with your acoustic bass and snare and play both amplified via a PA. This gives your basic acoustic sound more pressure, clarity and depth. Metal drummers have been supplementing their bass drums with electronic samples for many years. This means that fast double bass passages, in particular, stand out better in generally dense metal mixes.

Expand your percussion portfolio with Roland Trigger Pads

The TM-1 is perfect for expanding the sonic palette of your acoustic drum kit. By adding an electronic drum pad, you can incorporate any sound into your performance. The TM-1 has two trigger inputs for connecting two individual triggers or a double trigger pad and is compatible with most Roland drum pads, including the compact BT-1 Bar Trigger Pad, the Kick Trigger KT-10 pedal , V-Pads and V-Cymbals. You can even connect BOSS footswitches like the FS-5U or FS-6 and use them as compact pedal triggers. Of course, the TM-1's two built-in footswitches are also available to trigger sounds with your feet.

Extremely portable for the life of the mobile musician on the go.

With its compact dimensions, you can take the TM-1 anywhere and place it flexibly thanks to the pedal format. At the same time, the TM-1 can be battery powered, so you don't have to worry about a power outlet when things get hectic on stage or playing outdoors. The TM-1 is light enough to carry in any bag or instrument case. In addition, the metal case with its sturdy pedals can be easily taken on a trip.

Converting trigger to MIDI for your computer

Whether you're producing at home, working in the studio, or performing live, your pads need to transmit MIDI signals from time to time as well. Trigger-to-MIDI conversion occurs automatically as soon as you connect the TM-1 to a computer via USB. You can then trigger sounds from drum samplers and virtual instruments, record MIDI tracks into your DAW, and control clips and other functions in performance DAWs like Ableton Live.
