The D'addario ENR72 XL Half Rounds bass strings are an excellent compromise between round wound strings and flat wound strings.

Half-rounds have a smoother feel than round wound strings, but a fuller tone than flat wound strings.

Made with a high carbon steel core and pure nickel wrapped wire, they are finished with a precision grinding process to provide a smooth feel and reduce finger noise, with a sound comparable to that of strings round winding bass.
