Rootwords is one of those rappers who are citizens of the world. Born in the United States, he grew up in Switzerland and discovered London and Australia as part of his studies. He made his first introduction to the world of Hip Hop at the age of 16 by performing through freestyle sessions organized by Colossal Crisis. Like some big names in Hip Hop like The Roots or Hocus Pocus, Rootwords records and performs with musicians. His latest EP “All Good” is therefore without borders and is orchestrated as much by organic as electronic sounds. Rootwords poses a conscious rap on music with soul, funk and reggae influences with brio. After having distilled its hip hop in the 4 corners of Switzerland (Montreux Jazz, Caprices, Festi’neuch, etc.), it is at the Usine à Gaz that you will be able to enjoy this concert which promises to be memorable.
