The EarthQuaker Devices Hummingbird is a sawtooth tremolo, modeled on the old Valco and Vox amplifiers.

It is capable of producing everything from the classic "50's" style shimmering tremolo to a synthesized, delay-like chop that transforms your signal into a burst of short pings, passing through near-circular modulation rates .

The Rate is also accessed by an expression pedal to allow instant changes on the fly. The use of an expression pedal opens up the possibility of a true random amplitude modulation! In addition to modulation, the Hummingbird has a lot of clean gain, which allows you to boost or cut the signal using the level control.
