The pedagogy of Boomwhackers

Their authorship goes to the American Craig Ramsell who had this pedagogically brilliant idea of using plastic tubes of different sizes and colors to teach the musical notes.
Each tube represents a musical note with the equivalent sound when it is made to resonate by hitting it on the ground, an object, another Boomwhacker tube or quite simply on its body.
Each note is associated with a color and it is by playing and by experimenting that we learn.
This coding pedagogy, associating a color and a note by moving the body   rhythmically suitable for the musical awakening of young and old alike. This develops psychomotricity and allows complete integration at the sensory level.

Boomwhackers are like a small family. They invite to collective musical games, in groups like dialogues between all the members of the family and their friends. Everyone is free of the movement they want to make or the expression they want to give with their Boomwhacker. Each can learn in relation to the other. Each Boomwhacker is a musical instrument that can be used to perform pieces of music with others.
The originality and simplicity of this instrument may call on percussionists to integrate it into their practice to make their music more unique.
