The HRM V2 is designed to achieve the overdriven tones of a D-style amp with the HRM EQ mod.
(Class D amplifiers use a technology where the output transistors are activated like switches.
When a transistor is blocked, the current flowing through it is zero. When it is activated, the voltage at its terminals is small, ideally at zero) This EQ mod creates a very low midrange throaty sound where the frequencies of the guitar live. The sensitivity and the speed of the touch give an effect of immediacy and cut the mixture.
