The specialist's opinion

The Grandstage X has seven independent sound engines, each of which can be considered as an instrument in its own right.

These sound engines offer unparalleled sound quality and performance for a wide range of sounds, making the Grandstage X the flagship of stage pianos.

Premium Piano and Electric Piano Tones with the SGX-2 and EP-1 Engines Equipped with the SGX-2 Acoustic Piano Sound Engine, the Grandstage X includes an extensive library of world-renowned pianos. The SGX-2 engine offers the subtle and powerful expressiveness of a high-level acoustic piano, with loop-free samples on all keys, up to 12-level velocity variation, damper resonance that reproduces the sound of pedal pressure, and even mechanical noises. The result is a piano sound that offers the subtle and powerful expressiveness of a professional acoustic piano. The Grandstage X features 13 main pianos, including 6 famous grand pianos selected from German, Italian and Japanese classical grand pianos. The new GSX and Nautilus pianos can even be stacked with the GSX Far and Nautilus Far pianos to create the perfect piano ambience of your choice. Other piano sounds include the well-known upright and small grand pianos, the OASYS piano popular with musical ensembles, the legendary SG1D Korg stage piano, the essential M1 piano for POPS ensembles from the 80s and 90s, and the pianoforte, a period instrument, to name but a few. In response to the demands of many professional musicians, three mono piano tones and one mid-range tone variation are available. These mono piano tones, from a dedicated mono recording source, and a piano tone that does not interfere with the EQ bandwidth of other instruments in a group, deliver unparalleled clarity and harmony , as well as previously inaccessible interpretation options. The "EP-1" electric piano tone generator incorporates the Tine I Early into the typical model which uses a metal bar (tine). Its distorted and typical tone reproduces the familiar sound that we all know and love and that is found in so many famous pieces of music. The collection also includes seven other vintage electric piano sounds: Tine I Late, Tine II, Tine V, DMP, and the 200 and 200A. MDS (Multi-Dimensional Synthesis) technology responds smoothly to the most delicate keyboard keys. The German EP and Tablet EP models are also available, with a sound design that simulates perfectly and realistic amps and cabinets, and even vintage effects. Three unique organ sounds with the CX-3, VOX and FC-1 engines The "CX-3" tone wheel organ tone generator is a perfect reproduction of the famous Korg organ. The "VOX" solid-state organ sound generator reproduces the sound of the VOX organ, which was released in the 1960s and which had a great influence on popular music. The other solid-state organ sound generator, FC-1, reproduces the small organ that dominated this era along with the VOX organ. Combined with the integrated rotary speaker effect and the vibrato effect, you will find the pleasure of playing the organ. A varied range of tones thanks to the AL-1 and HD-1 motors The Grandstage X has a total of 700 Programs. In addition to the five sound engines listed above, the Grandstage X also includes the AL-1 analog modeling engine for precise leads and thick brass tones, and the PCM HD-1 modeling engine for a wide variety of tones and instruments. The HD-1 features many distinctive keyboard instrument sounds, such as the 8-stage multi-sampled Clavi E, harpsichord, pipe organ, 6-stage multi-sampled electric grand piano levels and the FM electric piano with its unique metallic tone. A stunning design worthy of a flagship The Grandstage X presents a distinctive design, instantly recognizable and destined to become a benchmark. The solid aluminum body is designed with smooth curves, and the curves that rise from the bottom to the sides are made from perforated metal. The vintage and futuristic look of the design is paired with a light ivory white top panel, creating a striking presence. Key-Touch slider for instant expressive control The key-touch slider lets you instantly control how the volume and timbre of the keys change with each key press, allowing you to customize the playing feel of the keyboard in real time. keyboard according to the music you play. The simple adjustment of this slider gives you the feeling of playing on a more or less sensitive keyboard, thus enhancing the expressiveness of the Grandstage X as you find the perfect position corresponding to your own playing style. simultaneous for splits and layers The engine control section is well laid out, with three dedicated knobs and sliders. The on / off buttons allow you to activate each of the engines and to choose to put them in split or in layer. The sliders allow you to adjust the volume balance as desired. The program name for each part is displayed on the screen for easy editing. Layers and splits can be used simultaneously. For example, the right hand can be combined with a piano or strings, while the left hand can be combined with a bass. Bring warmth to your sound with the Nutube The Analog Tone function provides an analog sound effect that can only be achieved with a tube sound. The ON / OFF button activates the effect, and the potentiometer adjusts the intensity of the effect, so you can find the sound that suits you best. Fine-tune your sound with effects and EQ The Grandstage X makes it easy to control reverb and delay directly on the main panel, making it easy to switch and adjust between effects depth. A new "shimmer" type reverb has also been added and a 3-band EQ is also available to adjust the overall character of the sound according to the acoustic characteristics of each concert hall. The Unison function makes it possible to magnify sounds with ease The "Unison" function, familiar to analog synthesizers but unique to stage pianos, is included. By adding this function to the sound of the synthesizer or the FM piano, it is possible to achieve an exceptional and expansive chorus-like effect. The number of notes can also be adjusted using the dedicated slider. Rhythm section and ergonomic chord progression The Grandstage X is equipped with a rhythm and chord progression function which is an evolution of the "Drum Track" function found on some Korg synthesizers. The complete rhythm track, consisting of drums and bass, can be adapted to the played chords or to a predefined chord progression, and can be played on the Grandstage X alone or as an accompaniment to the Grandstage X. Premium Japanese Crafted RH3 Keyboard for Nuanced Expression Carefully crafted in Japan, the Grandstage X features a true weighted hammer mechanism. The RH-3 keyboard is meticulously designed to mimic the weight distribution of a grand piano, with a heavier feel in the low register and lighter touch in the high register, allowing for nuanced expression. This sophisticated and detailed keyboard guarantees a realistic and immersive gaming experience. Free Music Software Pack The Grandstage X comes with a wide variety of music software from Izotope, including "Ozone Elements" which allows you not only to create music but also to master it using AI. "Skoove" will help you improve your keyboard playing. You will also find software synthesizers from KORG and other brands. In short, as soon as you get your hands on this keyboard, you will have a multitude of tools that will help you take your music to the next level.
