The Korg VOLCA-FM is a digital FM synthesizer that fully reproduces the sound engine of a classic FM synth, while providing more compatibility. A 16-step sequencer to automate all parameters

The Volca-FM incorporates a loop sequencer up to 16 steps, allowing you to record your performance on the touchscreen keyboard while playing. Up to sixteen sequence patterns can be stored in internal memory. In addition, the Motion Sequence function records the movement of the knobs, allowing you to make variable changes to the sound. Excellent rhythmic loops and patterns

In addition to the Active Step function which allows you to skip steps during a sequence, the volca fm contains new functions giving the possibility of generating more irregular rhythms. For the first time on a volca series device, the volca fm is also equipped with an arpeggiator. By using it with a motion sequencer, you can create very original rhythmic patterns. In addition, the pattern chain function allows you to connect several sequence patterns for successive playback, making it possible to build large scale expansions of 32, 64 and even 256 steps by linking up to 16 sequences.
