The J48 radial is the reference for active direct boxes (DI).
It is designed to be able to withstand high amplitude signals without saturating.
It has a Phantom power supply and will be able to provide 9 Volt for active guitars and basses.
Specification
The J48 has a digital switching power supply which supplies the circuits with 9 volts!
-Most active guitars and basses will provide signals of 7 volts of amplitude at maximum volume. As most IDs are capable of handling around 3 volts, they saturate.
-As the J48 has more headroom, it does not have this saturation problem. This additional headroom also reduces harmonic, phase and intermodulation distortions. The J48 addressing all the typical problems that other DIs on the market encounter, the result is immediate: it sounds!
